Ths “Special Build”Regulusis a versatile one channel amp with multiple tone shaping capabilities. The Regulus little brother of the Arcturus model, which is based on a hot-rodded Marshall but with 20 watts of power (or 30 watts with 5881s). It can produce searing metal tones and that desired tight metal chugging, but can also achieve classic rock crunch and clean tones.
The difference between this Regulus Special Build and the regular production model is the standoffs are a different type, the small toggle switches are a diffrent brand, it has chicken head knobs instead of cupcake knobs, an added a response pot instead of a two or three way response switch, added a viocing switch, 4 ohm and 8 ohm speaker outputs (no 16 ohm), smaller “bats” on the power and standby and switch.
The power transformer is a vintage used Stancor PC-8409, NOS Stancor C-1355 Choke, and a new Heyboer 7688-30 Output Transformer which is actually larger that the prodcution model OT for a bigger sound and even more lowe end.
It is in a black cab now but can also put it in a white cab.
