This Special BuildAntares is a recently made Special Build. It has the same circuit as the production Antares, which is an SLO-inspired amp. This amp is made with a used vintage Stancor P-8339 power transformer, a vintage NOS Stancor C-1410 choke, and a used Mesa Boogie output transformer from a 100-watt Dual Rectifier. This amp is 50 watts with two 6L6GCs, so with the impedance change from 100 to 50 watt, there is an 8-ohm and 16-ohm speaker tap (no 4 ohm tap). The five 12AX7s are new JJs, and the two power tubes are Ruby 6L6GCs. This differs from the production Antares, in which EL34s are used. The knobs, power caps, switches, sockets (used), and some of the jacks are different brands than those used on the production models. A footswitch and cord for the solo boost will be included. This amp sounds great and every bit as good as a productionAntares! All Special Builds come with the same Sloane Amplification Warranty as all the other amps.
